Cathy writes: Whilst the children are excited about the snow and possibilities of snowball fights and building snowmen for many people the snow and ice and be yet another cause for worry in these already challenging times.

Whilst staying COVID-safe, check if any neighbours – particularly elderly ones – need any supplies from the shops as they may be more anxious about slipping on the ice.

Cathy continues: If you are able to, check that water sources for wildlife have not frozen over; and perhaps put out some food for them too?
