Norfolk County Council has consulted on proposals to close 46 of the County’s 53 Children’s Centres.
The consultation is now concluded and we await the outcome. There will be a discussion at the meeting Children’s Services Committee 22nd January when it is expected that the findings will be released. That is a public meeting which you can attend. According to the NCC website the meeting is 22 January 2019 at 10:00 in the Edwards Room at County Hall on Martineau Lane
It is vital that we all write to our County Councillors before the a final decision is made, expressing our concern at the proposed closures and asking that they visit their nearest Children’s Centre to speak to the staff and users to learn the implications of the proposed closures. Members of the Children’s Services Committee can be found here and these Councillors especially the Tories should be asked to vote against the closures.
