Subject: Labour NEC Nomination Request
I am writing to you in your capacity os CLP Secretary to inform you I am seeking CLP nominations for the NEC by-elections in the CLP section and to request you to bring my candidature and candidate statement attached to your members attention.
I’ve been a Labour activist since age 16, a Trustee and Director of anti-racism/fascism charity & campaign HOPE not Hate, Secretary of my Unite the Union branch, Vice Chair of Sikhs for Labour, an active school Governor and a Central Council member of Socialist Health Association.
I’m standing in this NEC by-election because it’s an opportunity to improve diversity and representation on Labour’s most important decision-making body and to return to the ‘broad-church’ Labour Party that wins elections.
I would be very grateful if you could please circulate my candidate statement to your members either direct to members or at the nominating meeting. My candidate statement is attached and below. Please note I am seeking nominations in the CLP section by-elections.
Could you also please let me know what date your CLP is holding its nominating meeting by replying to this email? And if it was at all possible I’d love the opportunity to come and address your members during your nomination meeting – do let me know if this is possible.
Many thanks in advance for your assistance. If you have any questions about me or my candidacy, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

PS. Please do accept my sincere apologies if I have already contacted you or your CLP has already nominated!
