23 – 24 February 2019 at Telford International Centre
This year a stand-alone Women’s Conference is being reintroduced. The aim is to facilitate greater participation by women in policy making and offer the opportunity to share ideas with others from across the UK. Broadland CLP can send two delegates, the second delegate’s place to be filled by a Disabled, BAME or LGBT woman. There will be a crèche at the conference venue.
The weekend will include contributions from senior politicians, policy debates and breakout sessions including workshops and training. At the Reception on Saturday evening there will be an opportunity to network with senior women politicians and other women members from across the country. If you joined the Labour Party on or before 14 July 2018 you are welcome to apply.
As members are not meeting again until 19th January the Executive Committee will decide at it’s meeting on the 8th January who will attend. So, if you are interested, send an email to Philip Williams our Secretary by the 5th January 2019 with a short statement outlining why you would like to attend.
If you would like to suggest a motion for discussion at the conference please send it to the Secretary by the same date. The Executive Committee will consider all proposals.
